The City of Lincoln, located 25 miles northeast of Sacramento

The Western Placer Unified School District provides educational services to Lincoln residents. WPUSD currently serves approximately 6,600 students from transitional kindergarten to twelfth grade and is growing by approximately 1% each year.

In addition to the seven elementary schools, two middle schools, one high school and one continuation school, the district owns and operates a 415 acre ranch property. The ranch is located 12 miles from the high school. In addition to crop production such as rice, oats, and hay, the farm maintains a Ranch Management class and occasional Construction Technology projects. In 2015-16 four new classrooms and a fully equipped welding shop will be installed to support agricultural and environmental studies programs. The acreage has access to ample irrigation water and has unlimited potential for agricultural and environmental studies.
